Ibnul-Qayyim says,



“Being happy for committing a sin or laughing at that time is more serious to Allah (SWT) than the sin itself (because of your disrespect to Allah (SWT)). Regretting that you have missed the sin is more serious to Allah (SWT) than the sin itself (your insistence to commit a sin, although you are unable to, is more serious to Allah (SWT) than the sin.”
